Sales Director Job Description

As a Sales Director at Wesco International, Inc., you will be responsible for leading the sales team and driving business growth. Your primary focus will be on achieving sales and profitability goals through strategic planning, leadership, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve customer satisfaction and quota attainment.
  • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals to ensure highly skilled and motivated staff.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with national, regional, and local suppliers.
  • Monitor market trends and competitors to maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price.
  • Coordinate order service and customer complaint resolution.
  • Maintain sales staff results through counseling, disciplining, and performance monitoring.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
Requirements:
  • University degree or equivalent in Sales, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in sales and leadership roles, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and implement sales strategies to achieve forecasted goals.
  • Experience in building a business from the bottom up and operating in a matrix management environment.
  • Excellent time management and computer skills.
Working Environment:

As a Sales Director, you will work in an office environment with frequent travel to customer sites and warehouse facilities. You may be required to drive for extended periods with frequent stops and starts, and may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
