Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team in Spain. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our business operations are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will work closely with our Compliance and AML/CFT teams to provide assistance and support in monitoring client relationships, reviewing client acceptance files, and identifying and mitigating compliance risks.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in ongoing monitoring of client relationships for AML/CFT purposes
- Review client acceptance files and identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks
- Assist in the review of client files and follow up on outstanding documentation
- Collect figures and statistics to support the local Compliance team
- Participate in projects for Malta and UK Compliance teams as required
- Assist in the performance of the Compliance monitoring programme
- Monitor transactions and contribute to the development of a Compliance framework and culture
- 2+ years of experience in a Compliance and/or AML role in a financial services industry or an auditing firm or consultancy
- Thorough understanding of Know Your Customer and knowledge of UK/European Compliance and AML related regulations
- Professional level of English (spoken and written)
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and reporting skills, and written communication skills
- Rigorous, quick learner, and results-oriented
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Support for professional accreditations such as ACCA and study leave
