About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Administration
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including salary payments, benefits, and deductions.
    • Manage payroll records, including employee data, leave balances, and other relevant information.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and support a team of payroll administrators to ensure efficient and effective payroll processing.
    • Provide guidance and training to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, including tax laws, social security, and other statutory requirements.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with payroll processing, including data security and confidentiality.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with employees, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure payroll-related queries are resolved promptly and efficiently.
    • Collaborate with other departments, including Finance and HR, to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a hospitality or service industry.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Proven expertise in payroll processing, including salary payments, benefits, and deductions.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, managers, and other stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations, including tax laws, social security, and other statutory requirements.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
