Project Management Office Director

As a Project Management Office Director at Hitachi Vantara Corporation, you will lead the Project Management Office (PMO) team in the area of responsibility. Your primary focus will be on supporting Project Managers in defining, implementing, and applying project management policies and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Leadership: Contribute to the implementation of continuous improvements for the project execution strategy for the local project operation, in alignment with BU and LBU business strategies.
- Project Portfolio: Ensure the projects portfolio is managed consistently, based on best practices and internal policies.
- Instructions and Guidelines: Lead the Project Management Office team and ensure that internal policies, i.e. directives, instructions, and guidelines are followed.
- Budget, Sales, and Operations Planning: Participate in Bid/Sales Phase, i.e. in estimating and resource planning.
- Project Execution and Control: Oversee project management activities at the portfolio level through project reviews with the management team and Project Managers.
- Contract and Claims: Oversee the proper application of contract and claim management methods in accordance with internal policies, and contractual agreements.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders of the PMO.
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Reinforce and maintain a culture of Health & Safety in all project operations.
- People Leadership and Development: Lead the PMO team to establish and enforce an effective project management approach to achieve both project and organizational goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with a strong technical background (project management qualifications are a plus).
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of proven experience in project management.
- Strong leadership skills.
