About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Controller to join our team at Newell Brands. As a Cost Controller, you will play a critical role in managing financial operations and monitoring costs of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Controlling: Analyze the deviations of actual cost versus standard cost (materials, labor, energy, overheads).
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze cost reports, track expenditures, and identify areas where costs can be reduced or optimized.
  • Financial Discipline: Help maintain financial discipline by monitoring spending through accounting systems.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare the month-end closing and the plant reporting, including budget reports and cost analysis summaries.
  • Expense Management: Monitor and control expenses to ensure they stay within budget and meet financial objectives.
  • Inventory Management: Supervise and control the inventories of goods and materials.
  • Accounting Allocation: Supervise the accounting allocation of costs. Check purchase orders and Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI).
  • Financial Budgeting: Prepare, manage, and contribute to all aspects of financial budgeting and forecasting for the plant.
  • Financial Data Management: Collaborate with corporate finance teams to provide accurate and timely financial data and support ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare insightful financial reports, including cost reconciliations, to enhance management's understanding of plant performance.
  • New Product Management: Manage new products from the perspectives of standard cost calculation and material master data management.
ERP and Digital
  • Material Master Data Management: Manage Material Master Data: Ensure the reliability and updating of SAP data regarding raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.
  • Power BI Dashboards: Manage the Power BI dashboards on Production, Deliveries, and Sales.
  • Operational Support: Provide operational support on SAP to other departments (purchasing, outbound logistics, production planning).
Continuous Improvement
  • Financial Perspective: Support continuous improvement initiatives from a financial perspective.
  • System Ownership: Be a system owner and participate actively in the continuous improvement programme.
Compliance
  • Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and the requirements of public authorities.
  • Audit Support: Act as the plant contact for internal, tax, and external audits.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Plant Controller or Cost Controller or similar in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Good command of MS Office, including advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of SAP, PowerBI, or similar software.
