About the Role

Flywire is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in delivering high-quality software solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of our payment platform, ensuring timely delivery, and driving innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, performant, and reliable web applications and distributed systems.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, security, compliance, and design, to drive product vision and strategy.
  3. Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical capabilities.
  4. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  5. Work closely with stakeholders to identify and prioritize project requirements, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  6. Develop and implement processes to improve team efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in managing and developing engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining SPA-based web application development, both in frontend and backend.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and supporting scalable, performant, and reliable web applications and distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented fundamentals, relational databases, and cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in English, as it is the company's working language.
