We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Team Lead to join our Marketing division at Semrush. As a key member of our Insight team, you will be responsible for managing analytical support for Marketing and Sales divisions, working with VP-level stakeholders on strategic roadmaps, and developing data usage in decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Analytical Support: Oversee analytical support for Marketing and Sales divisions, ensuring they achieve their goals through work scope management, prioritization, delivery quality, and experimentation development.
- Strategic Roadmap Development: Collaborate with VP-level stakeholders to develop strategic roadmaps and analytics maturity for the respective divisions.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Develop data usage in decision-making processes in the divisions, ensuring data-driven insights inform business decisions.
- Tool Development: Develop tools and services for generating data insights and business recommendations based on completed tasks, including dashboards and self-service activities.
- KPI Development: Help develop and maintain KPIs and tools for their measurement.
- Team Development: Develop and maintain teams' deep understanding of business acumen, market trends, and emerging technologies related to analytics and business intelligence.
- Process Development: Develop processes with other teams in the analytics department, including collaboration with DE, QA, and ML specialists.
- Data Development: Organize and manage the data development process, data standardization, and documentation.
- Team Management: Manage the team, support their development and professional growth, and provide ongoing and regular feedback.
- Communication: Clearly communicate strategic priorities, delegate tasks and responsibilities where necessary, and ensure a productive team dynamic.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
- People Management: 2+ years of People Management experience.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Python programming language, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and ability to work with complex data sets.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven record of influencing senior leadership and driving organizational change.
- Project Management: Proven track record of managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Statistical Analysis: Expertise in statistical analysis techniques and predictive modeling.
- Team Management: Experience in managing and mentoring junior and senior team members.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. An advanced degree is highly preferred.
You will be working in the Insight team inside the Strategy & Analytics team. Your direct colleagues are mainly BI developers, data engineers, and QA engineers.
Tools and Technologies- Google Cloud Platform: Google Cloud Platform (Google BigQuery as DWH, Compute Engine for servers).
- Programming Languages: Python, SQL.
- Data Visualization: Tableau for visualization.
- Version Control: Gitlab + Airflow for code versioning and CI/CD.
