Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist to lead our Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a cross-functional team of 5-6 members.
Key Responsibilities- Work on the latest applications of data science to solve business problems in the Manufacturing team of the Retail and CPG space.
- Effectively communicate the analytics approach and how it will meet and address objectives to business partners.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of 5-6 members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Analytics, to gather requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
- Collaborate, coach, and learn with a growing team of experienced Data Scientists.
- Stay connected with external sources of ideas through conferences and community engagements.
- Support demands from regulators, investor relations, etc., to develop innovative solutions to meet objectives utilizing cutting-edge techniques and tools.
- 10 + years of strong hands-on work experience - Smart Manufacturing Experience
- Should be able to lead domain conversations on a solution consulting angle
- Should be fluent with Spanish Language.
- Know typical data sets available and make recommendations by performing EDA upfront and suggesting strategies around overall Data Wrangling and cleanup
- Familiar with Manufacturing KPIs, Monitoring & Optimization
- Understands Data Systems - Manufacturing Control Tower, Manufacturing Systems around Global Shop Floor Tools, MES, historian, SAP etc. - E2E operations visibility, collaboration/ communication, reporting/dashboarding. advanced analytics
- Skilled in creating product roadmaps, setting priorities, and executing strategic plans.
- Proven experience managing a team and leading product initiatives.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong data analysis skills, with experience in pricing strategies and optimization.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to understand business partner needs and deliver solutions.
- Experience in Azure environments and Databricks is a plus
- Bias for action, with the ability to deliver outstanding results through task prioritization and time management.
- Be proactive, curious, can-do attitude, flexible personality
