About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solution Architect to join our Storage Infrastructure team at F. Hoffmann La Roche Gruppe. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing infrastructure technology solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Implementation: Design infrastructure technology solutions that align with enterprise standards and business priorities, and implement them to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  2. Architecture Review: Conduct thorough reviews of existing infrastructure technology solutions to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous technical debt management.
  3. Research and Evaluation: Research and evaluate new infrastructure technologies to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  4. Non-Functional Requirements: Design and implement non-functional requirements to ensure that solutions meet the needs of our business.
  5. Architectural Strategy: Develop and communicate architectural strategy and roadmaps to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  6. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and partner with Product Managers to establish high-level solution intent and showcase product value to stakeholders.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience: 7-10 years of relevant experience in software development, integration, and architecture design.
  3. Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in the following areas:
    1. Storage Arrays and Solutions: Deep understanding of storage arrays and storage solutions architectures.
    2. Object Storage Solutions: Extensive experience designing and implementing object storage solutions with NetApp and in the cloud (AWS preferred, Azure and GCP a plus), including tiering, archiving, and cost understanding.
    3. Data Lifecycle Management: Experience with data lifecycle management, including data architectures, data storage, system integrations, system maintenance, system migrations, data transfers, and data archival.
    4. Storage Data Analytics: Ability to perform storage data analytics, reporting, and visualization.
    5. High Availability and Scalability: Experience delivering highly available and scalable solutions, understanding of different HA and DR techniques.
    6. Storage Logging and Monitoring: Experience implementing storage logging and monitoring solutions.
