Overview

At Ferrovial, we are seeking a Cloud Architect with extensive expertise in Azure and AWS Cloud. This is a senior-level position requiring a proven history of tackling various technical challenges and implementing effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Architect Manager, your role will include:

Strategic Influence: Provide strategic direction across projects and initiatives leveraging Azure and AWS to deliver cost-efficient technology solutions that address complex business challenges. Align your technical insights with industry best practices (Microsoft, Amazon) and demonstrate leadership by supporting decisions with thorough research and clear rationale. Solution Delivery: Design, propose, and implement a variety of cloud architectural solutions that are deployable across private, public, and hybrid cloud environments, including IaaS and PaaS. Ensure that solutions are flexible and scalable, meeting both technical and functional requirements while enhancing system performance with a focus on high availability and automatic scalability. Lead proofs of concept with partners to explore new solutions and contribute to DevSecOps initiatives. Standards Compliance: Strengthen architectures by applying security protocols in collaboration with the security team. Ensure adherence to established standards and practices, promoting a culture of teamwork and innovation within the Architecture Team and across IT. Innovation: Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies, proposing new components as necessary. Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with various development teams to enhance their delivery through the establishment of a centralized architecture repository with reusable artifacts and guidelines. Engage with senior leadership to discuss opportunities, costs, and risks related to architectural decisions.

Qualifications:

University degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Telecommunications, etc.) Minimum of 5 years in Solution or Enterprise Architecture. At least 3 years of experience in implementing Azure and AWS solutions. Proven success in delivering migration or greenfield projects as an Azure & AWS Architect. Strong background in cloud design and architecture. Proficient in complex infrastructure design and deployment. Comprehensive understanding of current technology trends and industry dynamics. Experience with cloud-native application development and architecture. Relevant Cloud Certifications in Azure and AWS. Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders. Strong project and stakeholder management capabilities. Familiarity with automation tools and practices, including IaC and CI/CD. Programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, PHP, or JavaScript is a plus. Proven ability in managing technology partnerships and vendor relationships. Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
