About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant and Inventory Clerk to join our team at Jones Healthcare Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing accounting and bookkeeping duties, as well as overseeing the ordering and management of inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Management:
    1. Reconcile payments and monitor accounts receivable to ensure accurate financial records.
    2. Maintain detailed documentation for financial, inventory, and bookkeeping activities.
    3. Prepare and distribute daily sales reports to stakeholders, providing insights into business performance.
    4. Support with monthly and yearly close activities, forecasts, and other accounting duties as required.
    5. Ensure compliance with regulatory business requirements and industry standards.
  2. Inventory Management:
    1. Coordinate the ordering of new goods, track purchase orders, and verify pricing to ensure optimal inventory levels.
    2. Verify accurate allocation of incoming shipments and customer order processing to prevent discrepancies.
    3. Monitor materials in transit and investigate and correct inventory variances to maintain accurate records.
    4. Conduct regular inventory counts and periodic physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    5. Gather data on sales, current stock, and market trends to inform future inventory planning and ordering.
    6. Implement proactive measures to prevent inventory discrepancies and optimize inventory management.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Completion of a diploma or degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • 3+ years' experience in accounting, with a focus on inventory management and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in financial software and systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
