Accountant and Inventory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant and Inventory Clerk to join our team at Jones Healthcare Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing accounting and bookkeeping duties, as well as overseeing the ordering and management of inventory.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Management:
- Reconcile payments and monitor accounts receivable to ensure accurate financial records.
- Maintain detailed documentation for financial, inventory, and bookkeeping activities.
- Prepare and distribute daily sales reports to stakeholders, providing insights into business performance.
- Support with monthly and yearly close activities, forecasts, and other accounting duties as required.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory business requirements and industry standards.
- Inventory Management:
- Coordinate the ordering of new goods, track purchase orders, and verify pricing to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Verify accurate allocation of incoming shipments and customer order processing to prevent discrepancies.
- Monitor materials in transit and investigate and correct inventory variances to maintain accurate records.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and periodic physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Gather data on sales, current stock, and market trends to inform future inventory planning and ordering.
- Implement proactive measures to prevent inventory discrepancies and optimize inventory management.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Completion of a diploma or degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- 3+ years' experience in accounting, with a focus on inventory management and financial analysis.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in financial software and systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
