We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant Payable Specialist to join our team at Omya. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth processing of financial transactions and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Transaction Processing: Validate and post invoices in accordance with company guidelines and processes, ensuring compliance with country-specific legal requirements and controls.
- Payment Management: Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers, resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Liaise with assigned countries and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and issues related to payments and invoices.
- Account Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of supplier accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Financial Closing Support: Provide assistance during accounting closings, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
- Quality Control: Identify and resolve issues detected in quality controls, such as VAT code, currency, and legal entity discrepancies.
Requirements:
- Education: High School / Vocational or University (Bachelor's Degree) in finance is preferred.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years' experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of financial concepts and principles.
- Technical Skills: Basic experience with ERP systems (SAP) is a plus, as well as experience with Invoice Management tools.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English (C1) with excellent oral and written communication skills.
