Software Development Engineer II

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our team at Expedia Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our TAAP product in a continuously integrated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated regression tests
  • Participate in peer code reviews and provide estimates on work
  • Build and own shopping, booking & trip management experience including checkout, post booking processing and reporting
  • Work with teams across Expedia Group to incorporate their services into our product
  • Create API's to be consumed across the business unit
  • Craft clean code using design patterns and object-oriented concepts, to ensure code is highly maintainable

Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in Kotlin/Java, messaging/queue systems, SQL and NoSQL technologies
  • Experience with Web UI technologies including Javascript, Typescript, React.js, Webpack, HTML5, CSS and NodeJS
  • Experience working in AWS and continuous delivery practices
  • Able to test, monitor, debug, and fix issues within established SLAs, using testing and monitoring tools
  • Comfortable working with several forms of technology
