Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Development Strategist to join our team as a Country Operations Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for providing key local operational and scientific expertise to drive country and regional level clinical development strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement country-level clinical development strategies that align with global objectives.
  2. Operational Management: Provide operational direction and prioritize activities for local resources to ensure timely delivery of clinical trials.
  3. Site Management: Serve as a site escalation point for investigator concerns and communicate issues to the appropriate Biogen responsible party.
  4. Knowledge Management: Maintain current awareness of local clinical knowledge, emerging standards of care, and trial-related needs of clinicians in the community.
  5. Collaboration: Coordinate cross-functional local affiliate input to provide country-level input into Clinical Development Plans.
  6. Performance Monitoring: Analyze and monitor overall Country Performance (Key Performance Indicators) and support country-focused activities to deliver country operational milestones.
  7. Sponsor Oversight: Provide strategic development and execution of country activities related to sponsor oversight of CRO and clinical trial activities.

Qualifications

  1. Science Background: Bachelor's degree in a scientific field.
  2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in managing clinical trial activities, especially sponsor oversight activities in an outsourced model with CROs/vendors.
  3. Leadership Skills: Strong organizational skills, leadership skills, and project management skills with the ability to set clear goals, align priorities, and lead multiple tasks/activities.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent knowledge of clinical operational activities/challenges across local geography and strong communication skills, including English language skill in countries where English is not the primary language.
