We are seeking a Lead Cloud Operations Engineer to become a vital part of our team in Spain. This position presents an exceptional opportunity to engage with innovative products that serve both external and internal clients. If you have a background in utilizing platforms such as AWS, Terraform, and Jenkins, along with strong scripting capabilities, we would be eager to connect with you.

Due to the stringent regulatory environment of products in the pharmacovigilance sector, your responsibilities will include designing and maintaining automation workflows to enhance documentation delivery and compliance controls.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Software Engineering roles
  • Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, cloud application deployment, and release management
  • Expertise in Linux system management
  • Proficiency in automation technologies such as Jenkins, Terraform, and scripting languages
  • Familiarity with containerization, AWS, and microservices-based software architectures
  • Experience in supporting applications developed in Java, Python, and .NET
  • Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git

  • Experience managing Windows servers
  • Background in validated environments
  • Experience in highly regulated or GxP settings
  • Understanding of Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 and relevant industry standards

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Leading Software Delivery Automation initiatives in AWS (CI/CD)
  • Managing Infrastructure Delivery Automation via Terraform in AWS
  • Fostering a DevOps culture within the organization
  • Assessing new technologies to improve operational processes
  • Collaborating on modern Software Architecture designs
  • Participating in troubleshooting production issues

Product you will be developing

This role will concentrate on the Life Sciences product line, emphasizing expertise in AWS, Terraform, Jenkins, and various AWS services.

About the Team

The current team consists of 7 members who work closely with multiple development teams to enhance existing systems, create new platforms, and optimize hosted infrastructure operations.

Hours of Work

This full-time position in Spain follows CEST working hours with flexibility.
