About the Role
The Platform Engineering team at Roche is responsible for building the foundation of software applications that support healthcare and research initiatives. As a key member of this team, you will contribute to the development, testing, deployment, and operation of software platforms.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Software Development: You will design, develop, and deploy high-quality software that meets the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
- Process & Operations: You will ensure the software stack integrates with our existing CI pipeline and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Leadership: You will lead architecture and design discussions to develop effective technical solutions and influence within and outside the team.
Requirements
- You hold a BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- You have 10+ years of hands-on industry experience as a software engineer.
- You have successfully built, deployed, and supported an enterprise-scale web application in the cloud (AWS preferred).
- You have hands-on software development experience in Java, C++, or C# with expertise in at least one layer, and JavaScript with a modern MVC framework.
- You are a quick learner with the ability to understand complex workflows and develop innovative solutions to solve difficult problems.
Nice to Have
- Spring Framework experience.
- Familiarity with healthcare data and workflows (HL7, IHE).
