Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Engineer to join our Wind Turbine Control team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing software solutions for the control and automation technology of wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new control technology functions for operational control of wind turbines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create software specifications and implement software functions on programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Define test and acceptance criteria for wind turbine software qualification
  • Conduct software tests on HiL setups in the software laboratory and on-site at wind turbines
  • Develop related software documentation
Requirements
  • Technical degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in PLC software development according to IEC61131 is desirable
  • Experience in defining requirements for software functions is required
  • Good knowledge of different communication protocols (e.g. Profinet, Modbus TCP) is required
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office and especially MS-Access is required
  • Knowledge of Matlab/SIMULINK is preferable
  • Experience in agile software development according to SCRUM is preferable
  • Fluent English is required
  • High results orientation and quality awareness are essential
  • Initiative, responsibility, and a structured and sustainable way of working are required
  • Teamwork and communication skills are necessary
