Job Summary
The Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, engineering, development, and execution of large-scale solar energy projects, including thermal storage capabilities and combined with nuclear power plants. This role requires specific focus on CSP technology, including solar thermal collectors, thermal energy storage, power cycles, and other related systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Requirements and Specifications
Develop and maintain technical requirements and specifications documents for CSP projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
System Design and OptimizationCoordinate the design and optimization of CSP systems, including solar collectors, heat exchangers, thermal energy storage, and other related components, within the company and with external vendors.
Vendor ManagementIdentify and manage relationships with suitable vendors for CSP projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality components and services.
Project Planning and ExecutionDevelop project plans, schedules, and budgets in coordination with project managers and stakeholders, ensuring successful project execution and delivery.
Technical Reporting and CommunicationPrepare and present technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate project status, key milestones, and performance metrics to Holtec International's management and stakeholders.
Business Development SupportProvide technical support to the business development team in the preparation of proposals, and attend conferences and marketing events to promote Holtec International's CSP solutions.
Requirements
- Education
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or related Engineering or Scientific discipline.
ExperienceMinimum of 5 years' experience in the energy industry, preferably in CSP plants, and minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Engineer.
Skills and QualificationsStrong understanding of CSP technologies, including solar thermal collectors, thermal energy storage, power cycles, and other related systems. Fluency in English language. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred QualificationsChartered Engineer status, but not required.
