About the Role
The Vendor Manager is a key member of our team at Localization Academy, responsible for the strategic recruitment and management of global suppliers who provide services in over 100 languages. This role ensures available resources for all projects at all times and works closely with internal teams to guarantee operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality services and timely delivery.
- Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of candidates by leveraging existing sources and proposing new ones.
- Assess vendor qualifications and experience to ensure alignment with company requirements.
- Guarantee compliance and adherence to ISO requirements and company standards.
- Work closely with the Quality team and Technology Team to seek improvements in day-to-day operations.
- Lead vendor engagement initiatives and promote internal communication to align needs, priorities, and expectations.
- Generate relevant reporting of the department and complete thorough analysis.
Requirements
- Effective written and verbal communication in English and Spanish are mandatory.
- Good negotiation skills and result-driven approach.
- Strategic thinker with high energy level and proactive attitude.
- Background in vendor management, human resources, administrative, or translation-related roles in an international environment.
- Previous experience within the translation industry is a must.
- Recruiting background is a plus.
- Demonstrates respect for and appreciation of different cultural perspectives.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Translation, or related field or at least 3 years of experience in a similar industry.
