Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to join our team at Motorola Solutions. As a key member of our Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering team, you will play a critical role in the sales cycle, focusing on the technical components of our solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Sales teams to craft and present solutions that incorporate Video Security Access Control products.
- Prepare responses to tender specifications and facilitate product evaluations in complex scenarios.
- Provide training for both staff and channel partners on our solutions.
- Conduct needs assessments to ensure that proposed products and solutions align with client specifications.
- Communicate technical nuances and highlight the benefits of our offerings to stakeholders with varying levels of expertise.
- Position our products against competitors and develop system plans that meet both technical and fiscal requirements.
- Specialize in specific solutions from the Motorola Solutions Portfolio and become an expert in those areas.
- Implement strategies to enhance knowledge among field sales and pre-sales personnel.
Requirements:
- Experience in Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering or an equivalent role in a technology company.
- Strong understanding of the access control and video surveillance markets and solutions.
- Self-motivated and focused individual with a passion for technology and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor while being part of a team to achieve corporate goals.
- Fluent English speaking and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills, both in-person and using remote teleconference tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Pleasant and friendly style of verbal and written communication.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Windows troubleshooting tools and techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of networking principles and communications.
- Experience with computer hardware configuration and troubleshooting.
- Driving License and car for business transportation (supported by corporate expenses policies).
Preferred Skills:
- Cloud hosted video and access control solutions experience.
- University degree or diploma in technology-related fields.
- Prior experience in the security industry, including certifications in enterprise and/or cloud hosted video and/or access control solutions.
- Microsoft, Cisco, and/or other relevant technical certifications.
- Knowledge of thermal imaging technologies, including LWIR MWIR cameras.
Travel Requirements: This position entails both domestic and international travel, which may constitute up to 50% of the annual work calendar.
