We are seeking a highly skilled Calculation Engineer to join our team at Alstom Gruppe. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing complex calculations and analyses to ensure the safety and efficiency of our railway products.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using Altair Hyperworks software to simulate the behavior of railway components under various loads and conditions.
- Analyze calculated deformations, stresses, and vibration modes to identify potential design improvements.
- Develop and maintain meshed models from CATIA 3D models using Hypermesh software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure timely delivery of calculation discipline reports.
- Apply discipline rules, processes, and tools to ensure high-quality calculation deliverables and compliance with QCD commitments.
- Manage and mentor junior FEA engineers on project teams.
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in FEA and structural analysis, preferably in the railway industry.
- Strong knowledge of Altair Hyperworks software, including Hypermesh, Hyperview, and Hypergraph.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
