We are currently seeking an experienced Japanese to English video game translator to join our team in our headquarters in the Málaga TechPark, Spain.
Key Responsibilities- Localize video games from Japanese to English, ensuring the highest quality standards are met
- Work collaboratively with a multicultural team in a dynamic and deadline-driven office environment
- Follow established processes and project instructions, taking full ownership of each phase in the project life cycle
- Support and help other team members, contributing to a positive and proactive team culture
- Align with Localsoft's confidentiality and security policy, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism
- Valid work permit for Spain
- Excellent native language skills in English
- Japanese with working proficiency
- University degree in Translation, plus 2 years of full-time translation/editing experience in the games industry or 5 years of full-time translation/editing experience in the games industry (or similar)
- Capacity to work in a multicultural, dynamic, and deadline-driven office environment
- Able to follow instructions, checklists, and glossaries
- Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, proactive and positive attitude
- IT literacy: Microsoft Office suite and CAT tool
- Opportunity to work with a professional international team in a dynamic and friendly work environment
