Job Title: Video Game Translator: Italian

Localsoft, a world-class localization company, is seeking an experienced English to Italian video game translator to join our team in Málaga, Spain.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled translator with excellent linguistic abilities and experience in video game localization projects. As a video game translator, you will be responsible for localizing games to the Italian language, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Responsibilities
  • Translate video games from English to Italian with high accuracy and quality
  • Work collaboratively with the localization team to ensure timely project delivery
  • Follow established processes and project instructions
  • Take ownership of each phase in the project life cycle
  • Support and help other team members
Requirements
  • University degree in Translation or equivalent
  • 2+ years of full-time translation/editing experience in the games industry or 5+ years of full-time translation/editing experience in a related field
  • Excellent native language skills in Italian
  • Full working proficiency in English
  • Ability to work in a multicultural, dynamic, and deadline-driven office environment
  • Capacity to localize a minimum of 2000 words per day with high quality standards and respecting deadlines
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, proactive and positive attitude
  • IT literacy: Microsoft Office suite and CAT tool
