Avient Corporation, a leader in specialized and sustainable material solutions, is seeking a SENIOR MANAGER – NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE, GLOBAL. This position is pivotal in our global IT organization, which emphasizes innovation and sustainability across the '4 Ps' – Product, Planet, People, and Performance.

The Senior Manager will oversee the management and strategic initiatives related to our global network infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, reliable, and scalable. This role is essential for supporting our follow-the-sun methodology, delivering global service to Avient.

Reporting to the Director of Digital Infrastructure & Operations, the Senior Manager will lead a diverse global network team, comprising three regional teams of network voice and data engineers, with direct oversight of their respective managers. This position is crucial as we adapt our operational models, processes, systems, and team structures to meet the demands of our expanding business.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Global Digital Design architectural team to develop a comprehensive IT Network Infrastructure strategy that aligns with Avient's business objectives. Transform technology into value across Avient IT's strategic areas, focusing on investing in our people, delivering secure and cost-effective solutions, and developing long-term strategies. Mentor and manage cross-regional teams of network engineers and specialists, providing technical guidance and career development opportunities. Provide project management expertise for complex initiatives, ensuring compliance with local regulations and requirements. Maintain the security, performance, and reliability of Avient's global network infrastructure, ensuring services are scalable and continuously improved. Evolve the Network Infrastructure organization to enhance global support and service provision. Ensure harmonized processes and effective training are in place for seamless global support. Collaborate with Digital Service Delivery to implement meaningful KPIs and support SLA commitments. Engage with regional teams to ensure alignment with best practices for effective incident management. Proactively research and advocate for improvements in IT processes and efficiency. Ensure high-quality documentation exists for all relevant projects and systems. Act as a liaison between end users and IT teams, triaging incidents for appropriate escalation. Maintain relationships with relevant IT vendors and participate in strategic processes. Work effectively across global virtual teams with minimal supervision. Flexibility to accommodate global time zones and potential travel requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience. 8 – 16 years of senior professional technical experience in IT or network engineering. 5 – 10 years of leadership experience managing cross-regional teams. Demonstrated knowledge in designing and optimizing complex network infrastructures. Strong experience in network security and relevant technologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences. Proven ability to lead infrastructure projects in a fast-paced environment.
