Are you ready to embark on a transformative journey with one of the world's leading insurers? As a Data Engineer Intern at Zurich Insurance Company, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and develop your skills in data engineering methodologies.

Your Role

As a Data Engineer Intern, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing a Backend and Frontend Website for the Data Engineering Community of Practice of Zurich Insurance Company.
  • Helping to define best practices and reusable tools and frameworks to increase the productivity of day-to-day project development.
  • Developing Azure DevOps generic CI/CD pipelines to be reused in different projects of the team.
  • Learning about data engineering methodologies and best practices, including Git, functional programming, deployment processes, and security topics.
  • Exploring data engineering cloud-based projects and services, such as Azure and AWS.

Your Skills and Experience

We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who:

  • Is an active student with Spanish University/School status.
  • Is studying a degree or master's degree related to science, statistics, computing, or technical subjects.
  • Has knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or similar.
  • Is interested in developing a career in the tech field.
  • Is available for at least 6 months of part-time or internship work.
  • Is a good team player with a responsible and can-do attitude.
  • Can communicate effectively in English with colleagues and managers from abroad on a daily basis.
