Job Description

Wings Handling Palma S.L. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Head of Resource Planning. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient allocation and utilization of resources to support the growth and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Long-term Resource Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to meet the human and technical resource needs of the organization, taking into account seasonal fluctuations and business growth.
  • Resource Allocation: Ensure that functional teams and technical resources are adequately covered to support long-term planning, while also managing shift schedules and overseeing productivity for short-term planning.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with headquarters to enhance flight programs and optimize ground times, while maintaining open communication with stakeholders and team members.
  • Operational Metrics and Analysis: Maintain databases of operational metrics, staff qualifications, and constraints to inform effective resource management decisions and drive business improvement.
  • Innovation and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to implement innovative practices and technologies to boost efficiency and productivity, while tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor daily parameters such as absences, incident resolution, and vacation planning to ensure seamless operations and minimize disruptions.
Requirements:
  • Education and Expertise: Hold a university degree with deep expertise in strategic human resources or resource planning, with a strong understanding of local labor regulations and the aviation sector.
  • Language Proficiency: Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and fluency in Spanish.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced skills in MS Office and resource planning applications, with experience in team leadership, effective communication, negotiation, and data-based idea presentation.
  • Personal Qualities: Stay composed under pressure and maintain a sense of humor, with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
