In this role, you will oversee the technical dimensions of the Project or Tender. Your daily responsibilities will involve close collaboration with various departments (engineering, project management), representing the project from a technical standpoint, both internally and to clients, among other tasks.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the technical contractual scope of the project: Ensure customer acceptance of the project solution, manage technical risks, and develop corresponding mitigation strategies. Collaborate with the Project Manager to address any changes in contractual scope and manage variation orders. Validate technical design decisions with peers and the Solution Director, while identifying applicable regulations in the project’s location and ensuring compliance in the design.
- Managing the project solution, which involves customizing and parameterizing the generic solution to meet Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) commitments: Collaborate with the Project Architect to build and analyze the project requirements database (PRD), allocating requirements to the System Program Manager (SPM), Project Industrialization Manager (PrIDM), and Project Engineering team. Chair the Project Change Control Board (CCB), oversee design and application engineering activities, supervise Verification & Validation tasks, and ensure Engineering Work Package (WP) QCD compliance.
- The Project Engineering Manager is responsible for the comprehensive validation of the Project Solution.
- Functionally lead the project engineering team: Distribute tasks among the Project Engineering team and ensure follow-up on engineering activities. Collaborate with Domain/Metier Leaders and Regional Center Project Engineering Department Heads to define the project engineering team structure according to the project phase. Implement applicable engineering processes, methods, and tools, and participate in evaluating the project engineering team. Share Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines with the project engineering team.
- Verify the Project Safety Case.
- Manage interactions with the project core team: Provide all necessary technical documentation to core team members for industrialization, sourcing, installation, testing, and commissioning. Address technical issues identified by core team members and coordinate actions during the project warranty phase to resolve outstanding technical matters.

- Engineering background is essential.
- 3-5 years of prior experience in METRO systems.
- Previous project management experience is advantageous.
- Experience working within cross-functional teams is beneficial.
- Familiarity with the rail industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of engineering tasks is required.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
- Fluency in French is a plus.
