About the Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Expert to join our team at The Cigna Group. As a Senior Data Governance Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert-level regulatory advice and support to our management team on all matters of data protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide GDPR data protection input to business-led projects and initiatives across International Markets.
  • Support the implementation of regulatory changes in any jurisdiction.
  • Maintain and embed the EGS Compliance Policy Framework and a positive compliance culture in relation to data protection.
  • Establish and execute mechanisms to test the effectiveness of data protection arrangements.
  • Provide input to the development and review of the annual compliance plan.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a data protection function within a financial services organization.
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
  • Sound understanding of the European regulatory landscape in data protection.
  • Strong practical knowledge of data protection principles, rules, and guidance.
  • Highly developed communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize tasks.
  • Acts with high levels of integrity and personal and professional ethics.
