Jumeirah Mallorca is a luxurious hotel located on a cliff, surrounded by pine forests and overlooking the fishing town of Port Soller. The hotel offers stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Tramuntana mountain range, a UNESCO Heritage site.
The hotel features 121 spacious guestrooms and suites, all with private terraces or French balconies. Guests can enjoy three restaurants, three bars, two swimming pools, and the Talise Spa.
About the RoleAn opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef to join the Culinary Department at Jumeirah Mallorca. The successful candidate will assist the Outlet Head Chef in the operation and administration of the kitchen, and will have co-responsibility in the absence of the Head Chef in planning, organizing, and managing all activities within the Food preparation.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Assisting the Outlet Head Chef in the operation and administration of the kitchen
- Co-responsibility in the absence of the Head Chef in planning, organizing, and managing all activities within the Food preparation
- Ensuring the execution of SOP standards on a daily basis
- Ensuring HACCP requirements are met daily and implementing immediate corrective action if required
- Assisting the CDC in developing menus, buffets, and 'specials' which meet the needs of the customers

About YouThe ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Qualifications: Advance Food and Hygiene Training
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role or in large-scale free-standing restaurant operation
- Experience working in luxury brand hotels and restaurants
- Skills: Good level of English, friendly, approachable, and professional, demonstrates excellent supervisory and leadership skills, works well under pressure, demonstrates flexibility in working according to the needs of the business, excellent customer care skills
