Project Overview:

The primary focus of this role is to design, implement, and maintain robust telecommunications systems in a global context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute telecommunications strategies to enhance retail operations.
  • Configure and oversee Cisco and Fortinet networking equipment.
  • Assess and improve network performance to guarantee reliability and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and rectify network challenges promptly.
  • Collaborate with IT and retail departments to ensure telecommunications align with organizational objectives.
  • Adhere to industry regulations and security standards.
  • Keep comprehensive records of network setups and modifications.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Profound understanding of Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, and security solutions.
  • Proficiency with FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
  • Fortinet NSE certification is advantageous.
  • Network Design and Implementation Expertise:
  • Capability to design, implement, and troubleshoot intricate network systems.
  • Familiarity with VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and network segmentation.
  • Strong analytical skills for efficient problem-solving in network issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

Cloud Networking:
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and a solid grasp of cloud networking principles.

Unified Communications:
Knowledge of VoIP, SIP, and unified communications systems (e.g., Cisco Unified Communications Manager).

Wireless Networking:
Experience in designing and managing wireless networks, with an understanding of Wi-Fi standards and best practices.

SD-WAN Technology:
Familiarity with SD-WAN solutions and their deployment.
