In particular, the contract will be within the framework of project "Metabolic Analysis of 3D Cell culture models for Metabolic Fatty Liver Disease using Organs-on-a-chip and Nuclear magnetic resonance (METACHIP)".The ideal candidate will have a background in biochemistry or a related field, with significant experience in cell cultures. Experience working with mice would be benefitial. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary and international teams.Main tasks and responsibilities:Be familiar with state-of-the-art literature on topics related to the project.Plan and conduct experiments.Analyse and interpret data.Willingness to work and handle mice in vivo for imaging experiments.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to laboratory instruments and procedures.Managing lab inventory when needed, incl. ordering and receiving supplies and reagents.Ensure proper waste disposal and adherence to environmental health and safety standards.Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities, equipment maintenance, and inventory.Prepare and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety manuals.Foster a collaborative and inclusive lab environment.Contribute to the preparation of scientific publications.Represent the lab at national and international scientific meetings.Requirements for candidates:Essential:BSc in Biology, Biochemistry or a related disciplinePrevious experience working in a laboratory environment, in particular in cell culturesExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and international team environmentCommunication and teamworking skills, proactivity, commitment, critical and analytical thinkingHigh level of EnglishAdvantageous:MSc in Biology, Biochemistry or a related disciplineInternational experienceKnowledge on spectroscopic techniques (specifically on NMR and/or hyperpolarisation) will be a plus.Experience working with animal models will be a plus.We Offer:Number of available positions: 1Starting date: 1/11Working conditions:Full time- 6 months labour contractVery competitive salary.Measures to reconcile work and family life (parental leave, flexible schedule working hours, 23 working days of paid holidays, 9 leave days for personal matters, among others).IBEC ensures equality of access to professional development opportunities irrespective of employment status, length at IBEC or other factors.
