If you’re passionate about quality and eager to develop your career further within a different Country and shape a high-performing department, this is your chance to make an impact.For our Quality Control team in Lelystad (onsite in the Netherlands), we’re looking for a Quality Team Leader with a passion for garments to co-lead a team of 10 talented specialists alongside another experienced leader.Together, you’ll drive excellence and set new standards in garment quality.What you do on a typical dayAs a Garment Quality Team Leader, you ensure that all garment quality standards of our global fashion client are consistently met. You will coordinate daily activities, support your team, and keep direct continuous communication with the buyers and quality team located at the brand’s headquarters.Your tasks will include:Team Leadership & Coordination- Co-lead a team of approximately 10 Quality Controllers together with another team leader- Plan, coordinate, and follow up on daily quality activities and workload- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to ensure high performance and skill development- Promote a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset within the departmentQuality Control & Technical Tasks- Oversee and participate in garment checks, including inspection of reworks (ironing, steaming)- Validate tests and ensure all products meet the brand’s quality standards before distribution- Evaluate and select optimal ironing and finishing methods, reporting quality incidents- Manage quality incidents and coordinate with the Client quality/buying team to resolve issues- Review samples, define parameters, and communicate specifications with workshops- Confirm garment finish, measurements, and compliance with technical requirements- Provide training on new finishes, quality standards, and updated parameters- Control incoming goods using internal tools and digital applicationsCommunication With Headquarters- Maintain tight, structured communication with the buyers and quality teams at HQ- Report issues, follow up on incidents, and align on quality expectations and improvement- Act as the main point of contact for technical quality discussions and daily updatesWhat we expect from youExperience & Knowledge- Strong professional background in garment quality control, garment construction, and finishing- Experience in team leadership, ideally in a fast-paced or fashion-related environment- Knowledge of industrial ironing processes, garment treatments, and textile handling is desirable although training is providedSkills & Competencies- Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written)- Excellent communication and coordination skills, especially with international teams- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and define corrective actions- High level of responsibility, accuracy, and professional critical judgment- Proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented mindset- Good command of Microsoft Office, especially ExcelOther Requirements- Availability of working in shifts, Monday to Friday- EU driving licenseWhat we offer- A role with significant responsibility, variety, and daily challenges—no day is the same- A dynamic and growing organization where your input and ideas truly matter- A motivated team with strong ambitions for continuous improvement- A positive and engaging work atmosphere at site and within your department- Competitive salary and opportunities for long-term development within GXOYour work environmentWorking at GXO Logistics means being part of a dynamic international company with room for personal development and growth.
