**Cloud Solution Architect**:

Cloud Migration Services will be responsible for migrating legacy analytic & business intelligence solutions and their associated data pipelines across Vodafone onto the Google Cloud Platform. CMS will be an integral part of Nucleus a multi-year programme to roll out a new Business Intelligence Solution based on Google Cloud Platform for all local markets replacing the existing BI solution. The pilot rollout will be in Portugal following multiple waves with the remaining local markets. As Solution architect, you will be designing Vodafone’s next generation analytics and BI platform in conjunction with architects and teams across Vodafone. This requires someone who will embed with the delivery squads but also engage with peers and senior architects to create a consistent design with common standards.

The** Cloud Solution Architect **will be responsible for architecture design deliverables of the programme and makes sure the solution is in-line with best practices of GCP and Vodafone architecture standards.

**This role will**:
technologies (focus on Google Cloud), leveraging its rich native services offering, to respond to
- business needs for cost-efficiency and agility Support- Provide Expertise and Issue management in crises situations.
- Partnership with tool suppliers (e.g. GCP) to ensure best in class design of (cutting-edge)

technologies implemented at large scale- Provide sourcing recommendations for software components and system integration work.
- Integrate architectural design following group architectural guidelines
- Produce proposals for new solutions, tools, strategies to address gaps or enhancements

emerging in new markets gap analysis- Document / keep up to date architecture evolution

**What do you bring?**
- Deep, hands-on designing BI Enterprise and Big Data Architecture including capabilities like: e2e lineage, data quality, reference and master data management
- Experiencing in assessing a broad range of information solutions and products
- 5+ years’ experience in working in multiproject and multi-programme environment
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior stakeholders
- CGP Certified Architect (Prof. Cloud Architect and/or Prof. Data Engineer) is desirable
- TOGAF and/or Archimate2 certified is desirable
- Cloud implementation (ideally, in GCP) of: Big Data & Machine Learning services
- Real experience of Data Movement technologies in at least one of the following technologies: CDAP, Informatica, Talend, Nifi, Kafka and/or Google Data Fusion.
- Extended knowledge of the most relevant components and vendors in more than one of the following technology areas: BI, Machine Learning, GCP, Kubernetes, Istio
- Degree or equivalent in a computer science or a scientific/technical discipline
- Experience of engineering Data Pipelines and Semantic Data Layers
