**Role context**:
A senior role with the main focus to build strong relationships with our clients and teams across the globe with the aim to develop our remit as business partners to our clients across all markets. The Global Account Director will be responsible for delivering the efficient and effective management of our clients global media strategies and investment delivering business results for our clients and overall account profitability for Wavemaker.
- Support the Head of Global Solutions in securing trusted advisor status with your clients
- Use all available resources across the network to broaden and deepen understanding of your clients’ business in order to develop awareness of current and future client needs, manage strategy and help develop appropriate new revenue streams which will drive client business as well as our own
- Helping to create long term client business development programme and monitoring progress, challenging and adapting it as required.
- Build relationships and work closely together with other global teams ( like Global Solutions London and local market team) as with teams within WM NL like, GreenHouse, business unit teams, Finance & Process, Strategy and A&Ihelping to ensure excellence of client service delivery and spread best practice
- Actively drive and contribute to the development of integrated mediaplans, from brief to strategy and activation (both online and offline) for centrally managed international clients
- Responsible and actively contributing to a sound financial process in close collaboration with our internal finance and process teams
- Collaborate with client teams across the network, taking responsibility for client service delivery and supporting trouble-shooting where required
- Ensure network compliance to central contract terms, including performance related incentive schemes and buying / service audits
- Manage reporting and evaluations, ensure quality and accuracy of output and distillation of business critical insights
- Oversee quality of delivery of both locally and centrally developed activity and ensure compliance with agreed strategies and approaches. Share best practice and insight with clients and across the network
- Seek projects outside immediate area of responsibility to broaden outlook and add value
- Proactively seek business development opportunities; new business areas and territories with existing clients as well as new client opportunities
**Required skills / experience**:
**Skills**:
- Thorough understanding of communications planning and the desire to enhance skills and experience across paid, owned or earned territories
- 10+ years’ experience in media is essential (client director/account director roles, experience in media planning), with extensive (digital) channel planning experience within a media agency is a must.
- Proven experience in digital and offline mediaplanning for (international) clients
- Excellent presentation and writing skills, fluent English is a must
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Proven experience in media workflow from briefing to financial media management for clients
- Good financial awareness and excellent attention to detail
- Broad understanding of marketing disciplines (marketplace and consumer)
- Clear understanding and experience of implementing integrated communications campaigns through multiple channels and disciplines
- Strong workflow management, organisational skills and time management
- Management and leadership skills
- Ability to build personal relationships with clients and colleagues
