**HR DIRECTOR**
**HR AREA**

Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) offers a position for an **HR Director.** Reporting to the General Manager, the HR

Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource Area,

composed by 2 units: Professional Development Unit and Labour Relations Unit, ensuring the implementation of the

organizations mission and talent strategy. We’re looking for a person with strong basis of labour relations, and clearly

oriented to people development.

**Education and qualifications**:
**Required -**

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Labour Relations, Law, Psychology or related field required.
- Strong knowledge of Spanish labour / employment law.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English

**Desired: -**

Master’s degree

**Experience and knowledge**:
A skilled HR professional with al least, 7+ years of experience from similar positions.
- Experience managing the HR function in a Health/Research context (preferred: public institution)
- Experience in implementing and maintaining systems and frameworks (payroll, employee benefits, and schemes)

and unafraid to move between strategic and operational HR.

**Main responsibilities and duties: -**

Ensures an appropriate coordination between HR activities and initiative and corporate's strategy.
- Ensures and promotes the implementation of the HRS4R.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the HR Area.
- Develops Human Resources policies, procedures and solutions.
- Acts as a real business partner providing guidance and support in all main HR related topics: organizational

design, workforce planning, performance management, succession planning and rewards, talent acquisition,

employee and career development.
- Analyse and provide HR data and reports to local business and HR corporate
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the HR Area.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with VHIR’s policies.
- Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
