An opportunity for a **Bid Manager Launchers **has arisen in Airbus Defence and Space in Madrid to join the Future Programs department in Spain.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Managing the elaboration of proposals for future programs, in close coordination with other departments. This implies:

- Taking the ownership of the proposal from the Go / No Go decision until the submission of the proposal and the participation to the eventual negotiation process.
- Coordinating all teams involved in the preparation of the proposal, including engineering, costing, marketing, commercial and contractual interfaces.
- Ensuring a smooth and adequate handover of responsibilities to the nominated study or project manager.
- Leading feasibility studies and early development projects, as preparation for future implementation projects
- Supporting TSEA - Spain in the definition of EOS roadmaps in the different domains: Launchers subsystems, New Business, Satellite Structures, Dispensers, Orbital Transfer Vehicles
- Identifying short and long term opportunities in the institutional, national or export market for the development of the strategy (e.g. identifying relevant ITTs for new missions or technology development), and providing relevant inputs to the KAMs
- Identifying technology roadmaps and R&D funding lines supporting the EOS roadmaps
- Representing the team in the BnB decisions in the process of the proposal preparation
- Representing the team in the generation of capture plans for EOS campaigns
- Representing the team in conducting MG03 / MG04, and in the process of proposal approval
- Keeping an innovative mindset promoting the game challenging ideas: Out of the box thinking
- Promoting and building customer confidence

This role may involve regular worldwide travels for business (ca. 1 per month).

**SKILLS**
- **Experience**:More than 5 years in Space Systems projects is required.
- Knowledge of engineering processes and methods, as well as engineering management.
- Experience in the Launchers domain.
- Experience in working in an international environment and within Airbus group
- **Soft skills**:Good communication skills with the ability to adapt to different contexts and targets / innovation mindset / team player.
- **Valuable**:experience as mechanical engineer is a plus, as well as experience in managing projects / teams
- **Languages**:Spanish and English mandatory; French or Italian desirable.
