One of Procurement's branches, named as Commodity Management, is focused on dealing with strategies definition and suppliers' contracts running. This specific open position is linked to such branch within **MRO Equipment Services **team, who is currently managing **MiA E&S MRO **, including A330 MRTT Green Aircraft, and A400M Industrial Partners & Participants. As a **Commodity Manager **, you will essentially be in charge of (i) securing our existing suppliers' strategic and contractual lines, and (ii) granting that our customers' support requirements are duly fulfilled by our supply chain, launching dedicated RfPs when needed. Therefore, main responsibility goes through developing and executing a strategy for the workpackages you will take care of, which includes supplier evaluation, supplier financial analysis, risk management, make or buy analysis, negotiations and long-term contract establishment. You will acquire a solid working knowledge of certain commodity trends, including cost drivers, global pricing, market & industry and material lead times, which will allow you to maintain a cost-effective supplies of materials, equipment and services, keeping in mind that innovation has to be encouraged and promoted. A Commodity Manager's role is complex and encompasses acting as the liaison with different internal related areas. Therefore, a technical background, although not mandatory, is suitable to be able to challenge whatever topic the suppliers may tackle with you or to face any contractual negotiation or RfP process you may be immersed in. You will as well work with Multifunctional Teams - **MFT **(with members from different functions like e.g. Engineering, Finance, PMO, Quality etc.) to secure the successful management of your Commodity.

In a nutshell, you will visibly contribute to the expansion of our successful military A/C fleet and related services, which is a vital part of Airbus Defence and Space growth strategy.

**Responsibilities**:

- Establish, implement & monitor a commodity strategy
- End-to-end management of supplier relationships, including the definition of related action plans to develop strategic suppliers
- Potentially, lead a related (Sub-) Commodity Multi-Functional Team
- Lead bid, tender and suppliers selection process
- Lead and contribute to Procurement Value Creation projects & initiatives with view to obtain synergies and savings
- Lead contractual negotiations with suppliers to assure that program expectations are meet

**Skills**:

- Degree in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent
- A basic experience in activities which have allowed you to acquire certain skills and knowledge of:

- Procurement
- Engineering
- Services
- Project Management
- Negotiation skills and ability to persuade, influence and convince
- Able to anticipate, assess and mitigate risks
- Skills in relationship building, team building, empowering, motivating others and conflict management
- English (negotiation level)
- SAP
