**Job description**:
**Start Date**: A.S.A.P., 40 hrs p/w. (hybrid/remote)
**Contract**: 1 year initially - extension by mutual consent
**Position summary**
Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to be part of a team that is working to drive transparency and accountability in the business world? Join our Network LATAM team at the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and help us continue building a significant impact on sustainability reporting practices within the LATAM region.
**Responsibilities**:
- Working to establish and maintain multistakeholder platforms in Latin America with high-profile members.
- Provide an important reference point for the reporting landscape in specific regions within your portfolio and advise the Head in defining the strategy for network development in Latin America.
- Project manage and deliver existing development programs and GRI’s own portfolio for policy actors and financial sector actors as well civil society.
- Coordinate national & regional GRI’s events including finding and securing a host, arranging logistics, proposing agendas. When necessary, collaborate with other team members and GRI’s Conference & Events Team to organize the logistics of GRI focused extension activities.
- Coordinate other fundraising projects as needed.
- Develop awareness and training materials for public officials and policymakers on sustainability and reporting.
- Lead and develop studies, analysis and documentation of best practices on the progress of sustainability and the use of GRI Standards in the capital markets, as well as the regulations and norms regarding disclosure and corporate sustainability in Latam as an input to accelerate the discussions of this agenda in the region.

**Job requirements**:
**Key competencies / Requirements**
- Experience in event management, organizing & promotion of workshops, preparing reports, handling registrations, fees, and other logistics will be preferred. Previous work experience in the field of CSR/Sustainability is desirable.
- Proactive and comfortable working independently, seeking advice when needed.
- Comfortable working remotely and in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
- Experience in working with deadlines, and strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- High-level fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English (and Portuguese desired).
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Suite of programs and experience working with CRM.
- Collaborative and able to thrive in an international and multi-cultural setting.
- Representative appearance, sense of diplomacy, discreteness.
- Familiarity and interest in working with sustainability issues and the sustainable development agenda. Affinity with the mission of GRI.
