**Descripción**: The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. - Barcelona**What We Are Looking for**:
ISGlobal is seeking **2 peer navigators** (particularly from a sub Saharan African country), who will be responsible for assisting with the project roll out by being a key focal person within the African migrant community given that they are familiar with the experiences of the population. This person will be responsible for linking the project manager with relevant key African migrant community members in the greater Barcelona area, under the supervision of the project principal investigator and project manager. During the 18 months, it is estimated that this role requires a time commitment of six hours per week for a total of 24 hours per month.

The VH-COMSAVAC project aims to work with the African migrant community, establishing a collaboration in order to bring viral hepatitis screening and linkage to care to its population.

**Training and experience /Qualifications**:

- Being an active member of an African community
- Fluent in French, English and/or other local language spoken within the community
- Working proficiency in Spanish and Catalan is an asset

**Key Responsibilities**:
The African community agent will be the focal person linking the project to the African migrant community. They will facilitate contact with relevant community centres, churches, mosques, etc. and their respective leaders in order to offer hepatitis B and hepatitis C screening and vaccination in these community-based settings. The African community coordinator will work closely with the Project Manager and other Community Coordinators working in the project.

The African community coordinator will be tasked with:
Putting the project manager in contact with key African community leaders residing in the greater Barcelona area;
Facilitating the use of African community spaces for the VH-COMSAVAC project;
Supporting the project objectives and mission by encouraging community members to participate in the project;
Being the focal person in cultural sensitivity and providing information to the project team and input on the creation of culturally relative communication material for the project; and
Being present during community interventions as a link between the project staff and the community as needed.

- Fluent in Spanish, English and/or other local language spoken within the community
- Working proficiency in English and Spanish
- Knowledge of French is an asset

**Conditions**:

- Duration: 18 months
- Starting date: 1 March 2023
- Contract: part time
- Salary: Techn II-C at 6 hours/week
