**Purpose**:
The client portfolio encompasses over 340 properties comprising logistics, distribution, corporate head offices, and small regional multi-use properties. These client properties are serviced by mobile and static CBRE engineers, as well as supplier personnel, covering a full range of FM services. Key to our success are the assurance mechanisms, processes, procedures, and audit programmes which allow us to demonstrate compliance with local country and organisational requirements and drive continuous improvement and Zero Accidents. The HSE leader will be a pivotal control point and owner of all HSE related programmes, ensuring effective support is provided to sites and regions and best practice is brought to the account from across CBRE. In addition, they will be a champion for our Life Saving Rules - ensuring that as an account we comply fully with our organisational responsibilities.

**Key Activities & Tasks**:
The HSE Leader will be an authority within the account team on operational safety, health, and environment. They will have key responsibilities including (but not limited to):
‒ Implementing the CBRE’s HSE strategy in accordance with ethical guidelines and corporate policies of both CBRE and the client

‒ Enabling compliance with all business-wide policy and strategy through management system audits

‒ Leading the development and implementation of an account wide safety compliance audit programme

‒ Co-ordinating and monitoring activities across the portfolio to achieve full compliance including, where necessary, conducting, reviewing and providing guidance on risk assessments, method statements and standard operating procedures

‒ Rolling out and building account wide engagement with our ZAP programme (Zero Accident Programme)

‒ Supporting managers with investigations into health and safety accidents and near miss reports, and compiling lessons learned for distribution across all sites

‒ Lead the process of assessing site specific risks and unsafe conditions working together with the in-country facility management teams

‒ Ensuring systems / processes implemented across the portfolio reflect the intentions of CBRE and the client and follow best industry practice (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 (or similar regional alternatives)

‒ Ensure appropriate day-to-day support and guidance to the team, supplier partners and the client on the provision of guidance and practical expertise on HSE topics

‒ Leading & supporting best practice and innovation activities in all areas of HSE management

‒ Supporting the delivery of CBRE HSE training strategy to enable standards of HSE competence to be achieved and maintained across EMEA

‒ Ensuring the achievement of agreed business functional standards and service level agreements

‒ Supporting the achievement of good industry practice, business competitiveness, and the development of a learning organisation

‒ Supporting effective business communication through advice, review and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, health and safety committee meetings, consultation forums, correspondence, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate

‒ Manage client relationships at operational level that provide performance assurances and enhance CBRE’s HSE standing.

‒ Be highly organised and self-motivated

‒ Work well remotely and in a fast-paced programme environment

‒ Be able to work at a tactical and strategic level to deliver our Safety programme

‒ Be able to quickly assess operational risks, advise on risk mitigation actions, and drive change in operational practices to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our people, clients, and suppliers.

‒ Take responsibility for completing tasks, and raise roadblocks and issues asap

‒ Work well with the wider team, and provide support to deliver the programme objectives

‒ Bring new ideas to the team, focused on delivering better outcomes for our client, CBRE, and our teams
