**This is what you will do**:
The Alexion IT organization is looking for an IT Medical Business Partner to join their team. The is a strategic partner role for the Global/US Medical Organization in building technology solution roadmaps and solutions to align with business priorities. She/he is responsible for understanding the business strategy, business demand, and ensuring effective delivery of solutions working in close collaboration with IT delivery teams. She/he is responsible to coordinate and lead the business process design and implementation of technology solutions with IT Service Delivery Team along to defined SDLC process. She/he also proactively shares knowledge of technology opportunities and risks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Medical Systems. The individual must be a self-starter with strong communication, and organizational skills who will work to become a trusted partner to the Medical organization.

IT Business partner is a key member of the Medical IT Team supporting Digital Innovation and Data Generation, Medical Affairs, Medical Information, Medical Review, and Health Economics and Outcomes Research teams. She/he will report to the IT Business Partner for Global Medical Affairs and has global responsibility. She/he works closely with regional IT Business Partners to drive alignment globally.

**You will be responsible for**:

- In partnership with Medical Operations and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, is responsible for evolving the Medical IT Roadmap and portfolio to deliver future state business capabilities
- Partner with the Digital Innovation and Data Generation teams on new technology and initiatives that will help transform the Medical Affairs business
- Partner with Medical business teams to drive and project manage technology demand in accordance with business priorities, funding, and resource allocations
- Partners with Medical Operations in the development and release of ongoing system enhancements
- Works with the various Medical Product Owners to maintain the service backlog, plan iterations, define user stories and participate in team demos and sprint retrospectives
- The Senior Manager will provide communication effectively and in a timely manner to internal stakeholders regarding Medical systems and key functionality
- Understand and translate business requirements into functional/technical requirements
- Coordinate and lead the business process design and implementation of technology solutions with IT Enterprise Application team, the Digital team & Service Delivery Team
- Spearhead projects to identify process improvements for business processes
- Help to create and implement processes to ensure seamless ongoing support for Medical solutions at all levels
- Work closely with the business on the documentation of business processes
- Create required SDLC documentation like Business Case, User Requirements specification, UAT plan, etc.

**You will need to have**:

- Exceptional verbal and written communication and creative problem-solving skills including the ability to translate business requirements into actionable plans
- Business facing experience
- Work independently and drive initiatives to conclusion
- Highly motivated self-starter with the confidence and ability to present complex information concisely and effectively to all audiences and groups
- Ability to anticipate future business trends and to integrate that context into business practices
- Experience leading technical teams and individuals across geographies
- Track record of effective functional and cross-functional collaboration and leadership
- Detail-oriented, self-starter, able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of IT experience in functional areas and exposure to business operations deploying large scale solutions internationally
- Project management and/or IT Business Analyst experience required; development and support of projects and solutions
- Understanding of digital and analytics technologies (e.g. Qlik Sense); hands on experience a plus
- Experience working in a multi-disciplined, multi-functional matrix organization
- Some experience working in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry, preferred
