- To cover this position, we are looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active and positive woman or man that has:

Master Degree in a technical career in the fields of chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science, life-sciences or similar disciplines.
Proven experience of at least 4 years in EU funding programmes of Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe. Especially in coordination of large consortium, writing and submission.
Ability to communicate at advance level in English and Spanish is mandatory (both written and spoken).
Demonstrably high levels of accuracy and attention to details.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and in teams.
Availability to travel both within Spain and Europe

- The FUNDACIÓN TECNOLOGICA ADVANTX (FUNDITEC) is a private not-for-profit Technological Center based in Madrid. The center develops innovate projects in our own laboratory facilities located in Madrid (Cantoblanco) in three strategic areas: Advanced Materials, AgroFood and Cybersecurity.

Given response to the center’s current growth, we are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager responsible of Funditec’s strategy in funded R&D projects at EU level, mainly in Horizon Europe.

Job Tasks:
The EU-BDM will be working in the Department of Projects of Funditec and she/he will be working with our strategy to position Funditec in EU funding programmes following our R&D areas within the department of Advanced Materials and Agrifood. An extensive knowledge on EU funding programmes of at least 4 years is a must.

The EU-BDM main tasks will be:

- Promoting FUNDITEC’s R&D capacities of advanced materials and agrifood to attract potential partners and customers.
- Representing FUNDITEC in selected EU platforms and clusters where Funditec is member.
- Participating in networking activities such as European infodays, national contact point’s events, brokerage events, working group meetings, scientific conferences both in Europe and Spain.
- Writing high quality proposals to secure research and innovation funding, specifically in defining innovation potential, impact, exploitation strategies with feasible business cases and implementation aspects.
- Reviewing and evaluating proposals to ensure quality before submission to funding body.
- Drafting proposal budgets according to funding programme requirements and rules.
- Coordination of European Projects throughout the whole life cycle from the negotiation phase to the closure of the projects (preparation of Grant Agreement, monitoring and control of the administrative and financial issues of projects, etc).
- Working closely with FUNDITEC's research groups to understand their competences and proposing relevant topics of interest to develop fundable proposal concepts in collaboration with them.
- Visiting new customers/partners and managing and retaining the relationships with existing ones.
