**Senior Business Planning & Analyzes Manager, Large Molecules**
Location: Novartis, Barcelona Gran Via, Spain #LI-Hybrid
**About the Role**:
The role will support the very fast growing Large Molecule and Cell & Gene platforms which is taking care of the products in our core therapeutic areas of Biologic Drug Substance, xRNA and Cell &Gene Therapies producing key brands of Novartis.
The network sites are located in US, Europe and Asia.
The Senior Business Planning & Analyses Manager focuses on challenging and analyzing the Global Large Molecules budget and actuals, on functionally supervising and coaching the Large Molecules finance supports, and on process and tool improvement and training. Robust financial analyses, constant process improvements, and close alignment with stakeholders are key enablers to be used during monthly reviews (MBRs), LO and Budget preparation. Major tasks are trend and deviation analysis, process definition/ implementation, as well as drive value creation by leading/co-leading special projects.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the execution of global strategies for own part of the organization and the correct and timely implementation of BPA processes and policies and ensure adherence thereof.
- Deliver core management reporting and financial planning processes to ensure the effective and timely delivery of insightful, recurring or ad-hoc financial information.
- Lead the development of detailed budget and financial forecasts for use in Global and Regional, country, Business Franchise (BF), and Business Unit (BU) planning.
- Design and maintain early warning systems for financial tracking, ensuring accurate advance warning for all financial results.
- Proactively drive performance and carry out value-added analyses on financial data: Sales trends, Functional Expenses, Other Income and Expenses, Impairment review, Management Cash Flow, Capital Investments, life time costs for projects, NPV etc
- Support the organization’s leadership team with financial analysis (including Risks and Opportunities analysis), cost analysis and control and drive corrective actions.
- Conduct value added analyses, e.g. Resource Allocation, Profitability analyses, Benchmarking to recommend short -and long-term targets and improvement areas.

**Role Requirements**
**Essential Requirements**:
- University Degree or equivalent experience in Finance or MBA / Certified Public Accountant Degree (CPA)
- Budgeting, controlling and reporting (preferably Investment project controlling)
- Cost management (preferably Investment project accounting), inventory management, CAPEX and COGs planning
- Manufacturing industry understanding is key
- Proficiency in English (Both written and spoken)
