A leading developer of mínimally invasive surgical devices is looking for a talented and driven Sales Leader to join their team in Spain as a National Sales Manager. It is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced and innovative company to be responsible for driving sales strategy to achieve year on year growth within the team.

**The company**

Our client is a well-respected, unique medical device organisation who specialises in bariatric and GI surgical solutions across the UK and Europe. Focused on improving patient outcomes through their leading portfolio of mínimally invasive surgical devices, they are dedicated to revolutionising patient care. With a product portfolio focused on therapies for a range of gastrointestinal conditions, their products are available in countries throughout the world with an impressive reputation for quality.

**The role**

As the National Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and coaching the sales team in Spain in their daily activities as well as key accounts in Spain. You’ll be focused on implementing and developing sales plans for the country to help achieve goals and promote sales growth.

This will also look to manage Distribution Channels in nearby countries, including guidance and support in order to achieve maximum sales. You will be recognised as an integral member of the management team reporting into the Sales Director for EU and support fellow National Sales Manager’s across Europe.

- Leading and coaching the sales team in Spain
- Managing key accounts and customers across your territory
- Improving market share by expanding the customer base
- Analysing country and product trends to develop sales plans
- Designing and implementing sales plans
- Creating metrics to assess the effectiveness of sales plans
- Communicating direct reports to establish sales programs
- Meeting with and visiting customers
- Selecting and hiring new direct reports
- Coordinating sales training programs on the product portfolio
- Managing new product introduction in Spain
- Identifying new business opportunities
**The requirements**
- You will have a strong track record in medical device sales, as well as_
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in and knowledge of the medical devices and surgical space
- Good knowledge of the healthcare system in Spain
- Knowledge of endoscopy or bariatric/GI sales desirable
- Experience managing and coaching a high-performing sales team
- Able to develop strategic sales plans
- Able to work with a variety of stakeholders across a business
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English and Spain (written and verbal)
- Knowledge of lab or theatre environments desirable
- Good organisational skills, a self-starter
- Strong problem solving and analysis skills
- Excellent computer literacy skills (including MS Office)
- Able to travel regularly across Spain with occasional overnight stays
