Operational Excellence Project Leader

Reporting to the Operational Management and Business development Leader you will work closely with the local and corporate IMEX team (Integrated Manufacturing Excellence). You will manage key Operational Excellence (OpEx) programs namely Lean/Six Sigma ) on the site. You will be responsible for promoting new efficient ways of working to create a change agile environment while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning.

The following is an overview of the role responsibilities:

- Project Manager and lead large cross functional teams to deliver improvements on significant strategic site projects (Lean and 6 Sigma)
- Work with site's continuous improvement CI specialist teams to progress and monitor delivery of operational excellence.
- Inspire a culture of continuous improvement by partnering effectively with personnel involved in the investigation process
- Manage Lean/ Six Sigma / PHF Programs with a focus on growth and value streams, promoting continuous improvement methodologies, helping the site to execute its strategy and achieve ambitious goals
- Compile and present project and site metrics/KPI and collaborate with Senior Leadership, to maintain focus on continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
- Coach and support Algete site colleagues to deliver successful OpEx projects (Lean and 6 sigma)
- Train and support the building of internal OpEx capabilities (Lean Tools, Method 1 training, Process Capability training)
- Collaborate with the Operational Management and Business development Lead to deliver on the site IMEx plan
- Support rapid response problem solving for business-critical issues using OpEx tools
- Develop proposals for improving Site process technology from a quality, cost, and capacity optimization perspective
- Lead, support, and coach data analysis by using and fostering the adequate OpEx tool.
- Lead relevant shared investigations with technical, compliance, operations process team members.
- Manage own time to meet agreed targets, develops plans for activities on own projects

- Demonstrated capability in the use of Lean tools and 6 Sigma statistical analysis & project delivery
- Multiple project deliveries, with proven tenacity to be a completer finisher
- Self-motivated, creative leader, capable of working on own initiative within a goal orientated environment
- Commitment and courage to challenge the ‘Status Quo’, with enthusiasm to drive change
- Ability to influence and coach multiple stakeholders at all levels across the business
- People centric, with a demonstrated ability to nurture talent, build collaborative teams, and inspire and empower others to continually improve
- Effective decision-making capability, with strong judgment through collaboration and risk analysis
- Excellent written and oral presentation skill set, detail-oriented with a clear understanding of process control strategy and data management

EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors or Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and
- Preferably +3 years relevant experience in similar industry. Previous experience in multiple roles/depts would be advantageous
- Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt Certification at minimum
- Further Leadership / Business qualifications advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively lead multi-disciplinary teams working within a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
