ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a part of the Site Leadership Team, the Site Supply Chain Director is responsible for overseeing and managing all Supply Chain activities at the site.

Working with a dynamic team of Logistics and Supply Chain experts, you will play a critical role in planning and managing the efficient flow of products and services through the Pfizer supply chain cycle. Through your extensive knowledge, you will develop and monitor the supply chain strategy with the objective to improve productivity, efficiency and reduce costs while securing high quality material for Pfizer. You will be responsible for overseeing and directing all Supply Chain activities at the site, which include but are not limited to Production Planning & Scheduling, Materials Planning & Scheduling, Customer Service, Product Lifecycle Management, and Logistics Operations. You will also lead demand and supply planning, inventory management and life cycle management teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversees the ongoing evolution and development of site Supply Chain management systems and all Supply Chain process improvement and deployment of Global Supply Chain initiatives and processes.
- Uses knowledge of industry, customer requirements and general business environment to adapt and implement strategic actions for the Global Business
- Accountability for developing and executing the Supply Chain strategy across the site, ensuring the maximization of financial, operational and customer benefits.
- Responsible for supply performance management systems, balanced scorecard metrics, issue identification, resolution, and escalation as necessary
- Develops solutions to highly complex problems within Global Business Unit
- Strong knowledge of and commitment to Quality & EHS
- Responsible for the coordination of the Site Supply Planning Team to ensure robust production plans and detailed schedules are in place to achieve the required levels of customer service and inventory.
- Holds managers accountable for management skills and development of a diverse talent pipeline
- Ensure an effective Talent Management process for talent identification, talent development and coaching, performance management and succession planning.
- Owns S&OP process and supply metrics. Oversees short and long-range production plans (as applicable) to ensure all key resources, facilities, materials, work-in-progress and finished goods strategies are in place to support of customer service required from the business.
- Collaborates with the applicable Global Supply Chain Leaders and other stakeholders to optimize inventory in the network and leveraging the relevant planning tools
- Is the point of accountability for supply and distribution issues, including communication, escalation, and coordination for resolution.
- Develop the annual budget process, maintain control of expenses and identifying opportunities for cost improvements related to local market logistics operations while maintaining efficiency and performance levels
- Partners with markets GSC and key stakeholders to understand global demand signals.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers, regulators and other stakeholders as Business Unit colleagues, Above Market Planning (AMP) Hub, Regional Supply Chain, Logistics Service Providers (LSP)
- Leads meetings needed to support supply and demand planning processes as required.
- Promotes continuous improvement in the supply chain unit: Implement best practices and follow up of KPI in Plant Planning, Inventory Management, Customer Service and Logistics to increase customer satisfaction and reduce overall operational costs.
- Manage preparation of Logistics and Supply Chain Reports, Mitigation Control Reports, Segregation of Duty (SOD).
- Support existing and future operations by enabling continuous improvement through the integrated manufacturing excellence (IMEx) production system & I-Flow
- Make effective financial and operational decisions to positively impact both short and long-term site goals

EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors or Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and
- 10+ years of experience
- Strong analytical skills and data science fundamentals.
- Demonstrated experience in decision-making in a highly complex environment.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing plants
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to interact internally and externally with executive-level management
