The Sterile Injectable Cluster (5) are recruiting for a Site Finance Lead who will oversee all aspects of financial management and site finance for the Algete site in Madrid, Spain. The colleague will be the finance business partner for the Site Leader and be a member of the SLT. The Site Finance Lead will report into the Finance Lead for Sterile Injectable Cluster (5). The role will manage 4 Site finance colleagues.

This position is responsible for delivering timely financial reporting and strategic analysis, financial processes, and systems to the Site as well as maintaining a proper financial internal control environment at the site. The site finance lead will oversee site finance teams and provide on-site finance support to the business. The role will require liaising between Cluster Finance Teams, Site Operations colleagues, and GBS to meet operational and business metrics.

This position will be a key member of the Site Leadership Team which helps ensure the site is supported in an optimal way and drives colleague engagement and development.

The site has circa $60 budget, headcount of 300 operational colleagues & supporting $800M of revenue

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for timely and accurate financial reporting to ensure clear understanding of financial performance
- Leads and partners with site leadership to deliver Finance commitments and identify value drivers
- Drives the annual budget process and outcome to deliver site targets Responsible for accurate and informed forecasting for the site and managing risks and opportunities
- Takes responsibility for business development, partnering with the business leaders and others to identify, assess and execute on business development opportunities. Ensures rigor of business development case analysis and financial input in investment decisions
- Play a lead role in the analysis & development of effective strategies for the introduction of new products within the site
- Play a lead role in supporting financial input and considerations to all site strategic projects
- Design and implement monitoring processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial results.
- Partner with GBS in successfully performing month end close activities
- Maintain a proper internal control environment
- Ensure compliance and consistency to processes and procedures, to ensure business continuity
- Member of the Site Leadership Team, actively contributing to decision making and strategic planning
- Member of the Cluster 5 Finance Leadership Team leading and contributing to OpU level initiatives
- Ensure the site is audit ready at all times for either internal or external review
- Be a role model for process continuous improvement

- Oversee all capital investments for the site including value assessment
- Development of staff at the site - clear communication of objectives and follow-up on attainment of these objectives
- Representation of the legal entity dealing with the tax and other government authorities. Fluent Spanish is required
- As required, partner with external agencies to ensure financial support and relationships

REQUIRED BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance, experience in manufacturing finance & Business partner in complex and dynamic organizations and environment
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Strong understanding of financial processes and controls
- Ability to work effectively within a matrix organizational structure and to effectively develop business partner relationships is critical
- Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal / relationship management skills, including senior leadership level interactions; strong experience of working in a virtual team; high performance history of providing clear direction, team alignment, executing priorities and delivering results.
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to analyse and assimilate data for critical business decisions in a timely manner
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize/manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a time sensitive environment
- Growth mindset. Ability to navigate in complexity and taking decisions under uncertainty
- Fluent in English both speaking and writing, as well as ability to work with the US & across multiple time zones

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advance business degree (MBA or CPA/CA)
- Experience in manufacturing finance
- Experience in Life Sciences industry
