**ABOUT OUR IT ARCHITECTURE TEAM
**Our Enterprise Data Service (ED) is a recently formed central IT function accountable for enterprise strategy and standards in Data, part of our Enterprise Data Office (EDO), enabling services (IT, Finance, HR), enterprise and business information and data architecture as well as the delivery of data provisioning services and AI product delivery for the enterprise. The organization works closely with data delivery teams across Business Technology Group (BTG - Business Unit) IT teams and data governance teams from LoB (Line of Business) Data offices, supporting the build of the AstraZeneca data products, including Data Mesh, analytical solutions and with a view to enterprise information architectures and thinking.

Our Enterprise Information Architecture Practice works as an internal consulting house specializing in data and information. We design the key aspects of the data world for AstraZeneca across our global customer businesses, offering critical services focused upon the ingestion, extraction, processing, transformation, transport, storage and representation of knowledge, analysis and modelling of our essential data and facts. We use leading thinking, processes, and methods to achieve enduring outcomes for projects and business-as-usual working, and lead thinking on enterprise-level, cross organizational information architecture, for example around the definition and delivery of Data Products and alignment with Data Mesh and Data Platforms and FAIR Data thinking across our businesses.

Traditionally, we have supported our businesses with information architecture, but not to date defined a role to support across our own Information Technology functions. Driven by enterprise demand, in the form of multi-year programmes such as our SAP® HANA S4 Programme, ServiceNow® Replatforming, Future of Work Programme, and Enterprise Control Tower Programme, **this exciting new role **will have a focus on Information

Architectures for our business of information technology -our IT domain. The role will be based in our Enterprise Information Architecture (EIA) practice.
- Initially with a focus around our Business of Information Technology, AZ IT, defining, leading or supporting the definition and design of information and data architectures, data models and data thinking, governance of enterprise data and master data architectures, strategies, designs, models, data products, and consolidating thinking and artefacts across one or more business units, one or more projects/programmes, which may be global or local, tactical or strategic, in scale
- The role is intended directly to assist, enable and support major IT programmes of work architecturally
- Supporting the definition of reporting and analytics, data science, digital, and operational business use cases
- Supporting the definition of common ingestion, curation, data design, and consumption patterns
- Support the definition of modeling data structures for conform and consumption layers in line with DataOps
- Support the definition of Information architecture, models, ontologies, taxonomies standards and reusable designs

The work will also include managing all architectural alignment tasks during the lifecycle of a project and ensuring that they align with Information Standards and Enterprise Models in the Phase-end QA Checkpoints.

You will report to and work with the Leader of Enabling Units Information Architecture, and work closely with their team leaders and teams and with our wider Enterprise Data team and Enterprise Information and Data Governance teams and EDO to manage and progress our projects, finances, operations, reporting, and assist with activities and relationships with our customers in the business, suppliers and vendors.
