As Sustainability Coordinator, I fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses to help people reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them, plus our values of local sensitivity and global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsible and caring, fun and quirky and pioneering wellness. I will fully embrace and safeguard the wellness philosophy, concepts, programs, and brand initiatives. This includes playing an active role organizing and participating regularly in our Mission Wellness activities.

Sustainability is at the core of everything we do at Six Senses Ibiza. As Sustainability Coordinator, I will ensure all directives on environmental protection and preservation, re-usage, and minimum wastage, purchasing and packaging such as the abolition of single-use plastic, social responsibility and all other practices documented in the Sustainability Guidelines are followed in order to maintain a harmonious and sensitive approach to our environment and cultural surroundings.

I will safeguard the pillar of Sustainability and fully embrace all sustainable initiatives adopted and implemented within the hotel. Earth Lab serves as a place for engagement and innovation, where we communicate all the work happening on the property regarding sustainability.

**_ Duties and Responsibilities_**

In this role, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of Earth-Lab tasks allocated to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards.

I will assist Sustainability team on achieving the results in Sustainability and coordinate all Sustainability programs in Earth-Lab as well as the related training together with Human Resources and the respective departments.

A high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene, plus comprehensive knowledge of safety, security and emergency procedures will be maintained in line with brand and statutory requirements.

All activities within the department will be carried out ethically, honestly and within the parameters of local law.

An important part of the role is to interact with guests and hosts in a professional, courteous, and positive manner and proactively seek feedback, using guest name whenever possible.

I will perform the following relevant tasks for this role:

- Manage the Earth Lab.
- Ensure bookings for Earth-Lab activities for next day are confirmed and organized, and all materials ready as per standards.
- Innovate and create new initiatives in line with Earth-Lab activities.
- Liaise with other Earth-Labs in other Six Senses properties to see what they are producing.
- Prepare Earth Lab products and manage their stock and deliveries.
- Attend meetings and training as required by supervisors.
- Be curious and updated about the latest sustainability trends.
- Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation.
- Support the Sustainability Team creating internal documents and policies.
- Prepare and deliver training session to other departments.
- Assist in engagement with the local community on a regular basis to ensure the property is an active and supportive member through Sustainability Fund projects and educational/fun sustainability activities.
- Greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
- Lead sustainable host events monthly that are fun, engaging, and supportive of a culture of sustainability among the team.
- Assist connecting the property with globally recognized sustainability events, initiatives, and ‘citizen science’, such as Earth Day, World Ocean’s Day and Global Shoreline Clean-Up for guests and hosts.
- Complete accurately all corporate reporting requirements for the role.
- Perform any additional tasks given to me by supervisor/management.

**_ Qualification_**

To execute the position of Sustainability Coordinator, I have the required qualifications and technical skills. I possess a background on Environmental Management, Environmental Education, Sustainability, or closely related field. Knowledge about plants and agricultural practices, and previous work experience on hospitality will be valued. I have a good understanding of the latest trends and techniques in sustainability, plus the ability to successfully implement sustainability initiatives.

Great communication and engagement skills, as well as a sense of resilience, are fundamental for this position.

Technical skills include advanced MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, plus I have a good command of written and spoken English and Spanish.

I will maintain a thorough understanding of Six Senses in terms of guidelines, rules and regulations, brand and operating standards, facilities, and services.
