**Global Alumni Relations**

**Position**:Deputy Head of Alumni Engagement.

**Department**:Global Alumni Relations (GAR), Madrid Campus.

**Department Information**: Global Alumni Relations provides engagement services, resources and benefits to our alumni network of 76,000 worldwide and liaises across the IE stakeholder map to ensure the community stays connected to each other and IE throughout their lifetime. The team consists of 15 dedicated staff members based in Madrid and shared resources in Europe, Middle East, US and Asia‐Pacific that focus on alumni and careers.

**Overview of Role**: The Deputy Head is responsible for leading Team Operations and the effective planning and implementation of strategic projects that require close coordination with key stakeholders (Program Management across the 5 Schools, Lifelong Learning, Talent & Careers, Communications, Entrepreneurship, Well-being, amongst others). In this capacity, he/she will have 6 direct reports responsible for the following alumni engagement programs and budget oversight:

- Alumni Flagship Events & Content Creation
- IE University Undergraduate Engagement
- Alumni Engagement Volunteer Programs & Clubs
- Alumni Benefits and Resources
- Digital Engagement (IE Connects)

**Lead Team Operations**
- Support Head of Global Relations Teams in executing the strategy and the necessary planning to achieve the established objectives.
- Oversee pipeline of team projects, milestones and deadlines to ensure timely delivery and with high standards of quality.
- Oversee Alumni Team’s projects, associated budget, and coordinate with internal stakeholders on collaboration requests and prioritize these.
- Partner closely with Alumni Directors to improve end-to-end processes in delivery of key projects to maximize student and alumni satisfaction.

**Drive operational efficiency and impact of alumni relations supervising**:

- Alumni Flagship Events & Content Creation
- Oversee Global Alumni Weekend (GAW) planning and implementation. This event takes place annually in Madrid and the organization and coordination of the event requires a lead-time of 1 year to host >1,000 alumni back on Campus.
- Oversee Engagement Initiatives (events, networking, activities, mentorship) from concept to implementation, ensuring multichannel campaigns for participation rates and awareness.
- IE University Undergrad Engagement
- Oversee the overall strategy for Undergraduate segment, including targeted communications, events and volunteer initiatives aimed to engage our undergraduate students and alumni as active members of the alumni community.
- Segmented Alumni Engagement Volunteer Programs
- Drive and execute the Alumni Clubs strategy (National, International, Interests), including committee governance, tiered structure mapping, events planning, Club Officers training and recognition. Ensure promotion of key activities an and clubs officers engagement. Support the regional teams and club officers with training and recognition.
- Oversee Current Student Engagement ensuring the creation of awareness around Global Alumni Relations services during the program and encourage engagement with IE after graduation as active members of the IE Alumni Community.
- Oversee the development of volunteer programs such as Class Reunion Committees, Mentoring or other volunteer programs aligned with strategic initiatives.
- Develop the strategy for engaging and communicating to key segments, partnering with the 5 Schools and Executive Education.
- Alumni Benefits and Resources
- Responsible for the benefits and resources portfolio, identifying internal services and external partnerships with third party companies, implementing continuous improvements to initial definition to ensure alumni engagement.
- Define the budgeting of services offered and ensure correct and timely delivery of benefits accordingly.
- Oversight of communications strategy for alumni benefits awareness, benefits access touchpoints (web, IE Connects).
- Digital Experience (IE Connects) and other digital solutions
- In coordination with IT, identify, launch digital solutions that respond to the evolving needs of the Global Alumni Community in terms of connectivity, usability and innovation.
- Lead and drive change on current platforms, e.g. IE Connects, to improve the user experience, managing key engagement KPIs related to usage and engagement.
- Champion internally the usage of IE Connects as the key platform for digital engagement for alumni, supporting training needs, external campaigns, and promoting proper administration of the tool.

Qualifications:
